Nice place, comfortable booths and televisions around to watch. A few beers on tap were good choices and friendly wait staff.

Grand View Cafe was in downtown Aurora with street parking available. It was a small and cozy restaurant. There were only three of us so we decided to sit at the counter instead of a table or booth. The menu was simple which I thought was good for a place like this. I ordered the Belt Buster ($8.25) because it sounded pretty good; in addition, the waitress said it was something that was ordered a lot on the menu. I did look at the Husky Burger ($6.99) but decided to go for the Belt Buster with fries as a side.
The food took awhile to come out but that was fine since we weren't in a rush. We were watching one of the three TVs and whatever show that was on. It kept us distracted on how long the food took to come out. Later, all of our food came out at the same time so that was good. The cup of water had a weird taste to it (at least to me) so I didn't drink any more of that. The Belt Buster was a large burger and was delicious! It was the first burger I could remember that had an egg in it. The fries were nothing special in my opinion.
Overall, I thought this cafe was great considering how big Aurora was and there weren't a lot of other places in downtown that I was aware of. -

Went to the grandview on a Saturday afternoon during A'roaran days. They were out of about any thing we asked for. The waitress was new and nice enough but the atmosphere is like sad old dive bar. I asked the waitress to give a message to the owner telling him I was a classmate of his. He never acknowledged me or the message. Even if he didn't like me as a person as a business owner he should have come over instead of hiding in the kitchen. There was a drunk guy at the bar that was pretty loud. There are so few places to eat in Aurora that if they would clean and remodel and be friendly they might be successful. Maybe call Restaurant Impossible. Won't ever go back if I'm in town.

The food was okay, but slightly over cooked. Service was incredibly slow, though the people working there were very nice and friendly!
